After years of dreaming, planning and building, PurestLabs finally ran its first batch. We asked our founders Justin and Stuart four questions about what this moment means.

From day one, we've believed quality starts at the source. Justin and Stuart share the story behind The Purest Co's biggest milestone yet.
Why do you want to build PurestLabs?
It's always been a dream of ours to set up our own factory — it allows us to have a lot more control over the supply chain. So, here we are.
Why choose Johor Bahru?
Well, firstly, it's really close to Singapore and where we live. It's also the special economic zone, and we're trying to support that as well. People here are great and I think we can build a really solid team here in JB.
What is being produced here?
The factory is new, so we are starting off with our powder line. We've always been producing our powders in Malaysia — so this is a natural extension for us. We can get really high quality by producing here ourselves.
And also, we are going to set up our taste lab and our R&D site here. Iterate our ideas a lot faster.
What's next for The Purest Co?
I think our eventual goal is to take on more of the manufacturing of all our product lines, and we want to raise the quality level even higher — do more R&D and come up with more products that our customers love.
